The Optika B-352Phi microscopes offer all the advantages of LED illumination with the light output of halogen, in a professional-quality system with the option to run on battery power.
Designed for use in advanced teaching situations and laboratories, we believe that the B-352Phi's unique LED illumination system is vastly superior to any other microscope in its price range - halogen or LED. It provides as much light output as a halogen but with all the advantages of LED. Because Optika’s patented Super-Bright, 5-volt LED lasts five times longer - a full 50,000 hours - and provides up to 35% higher efficiency than other manufacturers’ 3-volt LEDs. So users can enjoy a spectacular viewing experience even at the highest magnifications.
The B-352Phi's light output is equivalent to a 35-watt halogen bulb. This is possible because of the Super-Bright 5v LED and Optika’s special condensing lens, precision-crafted in Europe and designed specifically for LEDs.
Best of all, the B-352Phi's cordless option makes it, according to our research, the most sophisticated microscope on the market to offer this level of transportability with the ability to be run entirely off-the-grid. NOT included. The B-352Phi will operate for two to six hours per charge, depending on use of illuminator. The B-352Phi/B-353Phi has an easy-to-use switch to change from 110/230vac power to the cordless option.
Optika also offers Plan Brightfield models in Achromatic, Plan, and Infinity optics, to which a Phase Contrast Kit may be added. The B-352Phi's semi ergo head comfortably accommodates users of all heights.
The quintuple nosepiece includes five objectives 4x IOS plan achromatic, 10x IOS plan phase, 20x IOS Plan Phase, 40xR IOS plan phase, 100xR (oil immersion) IOS plan phase. A wide range of affordably-priced options make this system extraordinarily flexible.
Optical System--
The B-352Phi features a infinity optical system (IOS) with a 20mm field diameter eyepiece included. It is supplied with WF10x/20mm eyepieces which accept 22mm O.D. eyepiece reticles. We offer hundreds of other reticles that are available separately.

Microscope Stand--
Modern and ergonomic, the stand is made from die-cast aluminum and offers a graduated double layer mechanical stage (graduated, 0.002mm) with coaxial controls, adjustable focus tension and focus stop.
Heads--
All heads are 360° rotatable and 30° inclined. The B-352Phi has a binocular head; the B-353Phi’s is trinocular. Both heads are equipped with interpupillary distance control The eyepieces are designed with diopter adjustment for separate focusing for people who wear glasses.
Illuminator--
The extraordinary 5-volt LED illuminator includes variable intensity control via a rheostat on the microscope base. Users requiring the cordless options get 5v, 110v/230v white LED with variable intensity control via a rheostat on the microscope base. Requires 4AA Alkaline or 2300-2600 mAh rechargeable batteries (recommended). External charger

Condenser--
The N.A. 1.25 Abbe-type condenser can be centered through a double-control system and adjusted in height through a rack-and-pinion mechanism by means of control knobs located on both sides of the microscope stand. The condenser also includes an iris diaphragm with an aperture that can be adjusted through the use of a graduated reference scale.
